Fred. Olsen’s Black Watch Nov 2016 Refurbishment

Black WatchFred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ 804-guest Black Watch will be entering dry dock at the Blohm + Voss shipyard in Hamburg, Germany in November 2016, in preparation for the forthcoming 2017/18 cruise season. The ship will undergo various engineering works, general maintenance and refurbishment during the dry dock, as well as the creation of several new public areas and guest facilities, as part of a multi-million Pound investment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Following the refurbishments some of the upgrades will include:

  • A new interative TV system will be installed
  • Bathrooms will be refurbished
  • All cabins will deature safes and mini-bars as standard
  • The Garden Cafe is being converted to a new restaurant called ‘Brigadoon’
  • The Braemar Courtyard will be converted to a seperate speciality dining area
  • The Glentanar restaurant on Deck 6 will have a spacios new layout with new furniture and curtains
  • Bar areas will receive a refresh to the decor and fittings
  • The Morning Light Pub will be relocated
  • Marina Theatre will be upgraded with 3D technology
  • Guest Services area will be renewed

 

Similar refurbishments will be made to the rest of the fleet – Balmoral, Braemar & Boudicca in 2017
