The Saga Pearl II is a recent edition to the Saga fleet
following the retirement of the original and popular Saga
Pearl due to new regulations deeming the ship not viable for
an upgrade.
Saga Pearl II undertook a comprehensive £14m refit prior to
her inaugural cruise in March 2010 from Southampton.
The refit included the creation of balcony cabins
upgrading the show lounge, spa and two swimming pools; one of the best libraries afloat; new kitchens and a new
elegant Veranda Restaurant.
New for 2012, launching
in March is the Saga Sapphire - a timeless ship with a modern
twist.
Regular Saga cruisers will also be pleased to learn that many
familiar faces from the crew have transferred to the new ship.
